The Eastren King bird picture was taken along the beaver pond at Wildcat Ridge WMA. This bird likes to perch along the waters edge and wait for a bug to land on the surface and then swoop down to for a quick dinner before any fish notice.

The ruffled appeance of this King Bird is the result of the wind moving the tree causing the bird to balance on the branch.

This Eastren Phoebe picture was taken at the Great Swamp Wildlife Observation Center from a blind designed for people to get a good look at the birds with out disturbing them. Notice the bee in the birds mouth.
